As larger financial institutions closed or consolidated in Orange County over the past few years, we saw there was a demand for what we at Rhinebeck Bank do best – supply individuals, families and businesses with a wide selection of banking and lending solutions, and support them with the right technology and our hallmark superior customer service. (… and you thought you left “Supply and Demand” back in your Introduction to Economics class from years ago.)

Led by Diane Passaro, Vice President – Orange County Market Manager, our new branches have enjoyed success and will continue to earn the trust and respect of Orange County families and businesses.

Here’s a brief recap of our Orange County expansion so far:

Our 2021 branch expansion began in March with the opening of our 360 Route 17M, Monroe and 62 Main Street, Warwick locations. These two branches, which we acquired from a New Jersey-based bank, enabled us to serve the financial needs of customers from the previous institution, as well as new customers in southern and eastern Orange County. Branch Managers David Malvacia and Judy Prendergast lead our Monroe and Warwick branches, respectively.

The right place at the right time: We establish roots in MiddletownMiddletown branch photo
The opening of our 357 East Main Street, Middletown branch in mid-June was another important part of our Orange County expansion effort. Initial feedback to the branch has been very positive and we look forward to growing relationships with individuals, families and businesses throughout Middletown and the surrounding area. We hope you can stop by and say “hi” to Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager Martha Soto and her team at the Middletown branch.

Newburgh branch photoIt’s all about community: We believe in Newburgh!
At a time when other banks and credit unions wouldn’t, we made the decision to follow through on our belief in the City of Newburgh and in our ability to contribute to the success of its residents and businesses. That belief will come to fruition when we open our fifth Orange County branch at 456 Broadway later this month! Branch Manager Mario Jimenez and his Newburgh team have a deep understanding and appreciation for what makes Newburgh tick (hint: it’s those people and businesses we mentioned earlier) and they can’t wait to open their doors and welcome customers into the Rhinebeck Bank family.

In a year marked with such uncertainty, we’re very happy to bring our relationship-based banking model to additional communities in Orange County. Our branch expansion has been successful and we’re truly excited to open our doors in Newburgh in the coming weeks. We hope you’ll come see us in Newburgh, as well as Monroe, Warwick and Middletown someday soon … and remind yourself of what community banking is all about.
